November 19, 2026 is the release date Rockstar is holding after two delays. The game comes out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The studio features PlayStation 5 as the platform where the game is presented at its strongest. A PC version is not part of this day.
The road to this date: Rockstar confirmed development in February 2022, revealed the game in December 2023, delayed it to May 26, 2026 in May 2025, and moved it to November 19, 2026 in November 2025.
On launch day the game is single-player only, runs at 30 frames per second on both consoles, and has no microtransactions, according to Rockstar. GTA VI: The Album comes out the same day.
