Price, date, and the catch
Rockstar revealed the GTA 6 Collector's Set in September. It costs $399.99 on the Rockstar Store, ships for November 19, and is limited to one order per person while supplies last. It does not include a copy of the game. It is meant as a companion to any version, digital or boxed.
What is in the box
Coverage lists eleven items, most of them themed around Macca the Gator, the in-game TV character:
- A Macca the Gator figure with a stash compartment
- Matte black GTA VI Oakley Frogskins sunglasses
- A New Era 9FORTY snapback with Vice City details
- A crossbody bag and a shot glass
- A magnetic mirror, a swizzle spoon, and a razor blade keychain
- An enamel pin set, stickers, and a map poster
Some of the items lean into the game's satire of excess, which made the set a talking point in September.
What it really costs
Add a Standard Edition at $79.99 and you are near $480 before tax. With the Ultimate Edition, it is closer to $500.
Has Rockstar done this before?
Yes. Red Dead Redemption 2 also had a collector's box without the game. If you want in-game extras rather than physical ones, the Ultimate Edition is the place to look. Compare both on our editions page.
